Help joining mp4

as per title, I have a tv show in 9 parts i.e 1.mp4, 2.mp4…etc anyone got any tips on joining them

Depends.
Are the 9 parts actually 9 separate episodes or are they 9 parts of one episode?
Which tv show is it?

its one tv episode split into 9 parts (for reasons I don’t know( I found it that way))

If these 9 parts are encoded exactly the same, you can use this guide to fit them into one common file: [HowTo]: joining multi-part movies files with MKVtoolnix GUI

But before you try this, look up the tv show at TheTVDB. Maybe these are really 9 episodes. https://www.thetvdb.com/

Thanks I’ll try that, each ‘segment’ is 10 mins long, so someone has split it apart for some strange reason

There are tv shows which have indeed very short episodes.
Look it up on TheTVDB, google it on other sites as well, to find out if it perhaps started its live as a “web show” or something .
