HELP! Live TV & DVR with OTA tuner and Cable tuner

Server Version#: 1.20.3.3483 (Plex Server for Windows)
Player Version#: 4.34.4 (Plex Web)
Tuner Make/Model: HDHomeRun Connect 4k and Hauppauge WinTV-DCR-2650
Guide/Lineup name: Broadcast TV Seattle-Tacoma OTA Broadcast
Using XMLTV?: no
Channel number/Name: all of them

So I have two Plex Servers running on two different computers. One has a Hauppauge CableCard tuner for my cable channels. The other computer has a Plex Server with the new HDHomeRun 4k Connect for OTA channels. Previously I could choose the Live TV & DVR by the server to see two distinct channel guides, one for OTA and one for Cable. Now with the latest release or maybe with the change in EPG guide provider I only see the cable channels for both servers. Seems like a major bug for anyone trying to record or watch both OTA and cable channels. Please look into this. Thanks in advance.

It seems odd that two separate servers would mix up their guides. What do you see if you edit the channel mappings on the OTA server:
Settings (select your server) -> Live TV & DVR -> X enabled

Does it show the correct device and guide channels here? If not, try deleting the OTA DVR and re-adding it. If it does show the correct channels here, the problem may be with the client(s). In that case, it would be helpful to know on which clients you’re seeing the issue. If the web client is showing the issue, try clearing its cache for the site.

By the way, that’s not the server version, rather it’s the version of the web client. You can find the server version under:
Settings (select your server) -> General

There are two “General” sections in the left-panel when you click settings; you want the lower one in the list, under the server name.

OK thanks for clarifying for me, I updated the version numbers in the original post. So I’m using Plex Web client with Chrome for Windows (Version 86.0.4240.75 (Official Build) (64-bit)). The Plex Servers are both Windows versions. When I clear the cache using dev tools in Chrome and go to the Plex Web client it shows me the guide of the first server I pick. If I then try to switch to the other Live TV & DVR for the other server it shows me the old guide from the previous server guide. However when I click “xy Enabled” in the Live TV & DVR setting it shows me the proper channel line up respectively.

So just a guess it appears that it’s incorrectly caching the guide and shows the cached guide even when I switch servers.

I don’t see the same issue here, but I don’t use Chrome. You could try using a different browser to see if it’s a Chrome-specific issue.

I tried also with Edge and FireFox (72.0.2 (64-bit)) and both of these browsers also exhibit the issue.

Thanks

Interesting, I am now able to reproduce the same behavior here (I was not able to last week). A browser refresh after changing guides corrects it my case. Very weird. I see the same behavior on both the embedded web client and the hosted version (https://app.plex.tv).

In my case, I use the same guide data on two different servers. However, I have a different selection of enabled channels. So, the guides display differently. I don’t use the second server often, and almost never view the guide. But I swear I checked this last week before replying and I was able to move between the guides without issues. Very weird.

Is there a way to log a bug on it?
