HELP! My Media Library won't populate anymore!

My media libraries won’t populate anymore. I just see the spinning wheel on Plex that says:
" Libraries are currently being updated
Hang tight while we look for your content"
I leave it for hours, but nothing happens. Usually, new media is added pretty quick. I don’t know what happened, but it is frustrating to say the least. I am just trying to add media from my NAS. It is a QNAP TS-251+. I haven never had a problem with it before and Plex can find the NAS device. It just isn’t scanning my files in. Help!

Is Plex Media Server installed in the same NAS where media is stored ? If yes, is the media stored in a USB external disk ?

Thanks for the reply. It was helpful and I figured it out. I had to reinstall and then update Plex on my NAS. My media showed up fine. Everything had to be rescanned which took a while but it’s running fine now. Thanks!!
