Help needed with external drive

My Plex server is on my Synology NAS and all my movies are loaded on it. But I have an external Western Digital drive that has all music that I would like to add to Plex. The external drive is connected with a network cable to a switch and that is then connected to my router.
Plex only see’s my NAS so I tried adding the path the the external drive (\MYBOOKLIVE\Public\Shared Music), but after Plex adds it nothing shows up. I have been scratching my head on this for awhile and looking online but still have not found an answer. I cannot connect the external drive directly to the NAS since its an older drive that only has a network connection, no USB, etc.

here is for windows 10 and set up as IP… so the NAS can connect
