Help restoring plex scheduled task database

I was manipulating my plex movie libraries and screwed up my database when I repointed my movie collection to my TV collection instead.

I tried to follow the following instructions to restore my database, but unfortunately, when I restored the database, it looked fine (I.e. the way it did before I messed up), but I can’t play media, and if I go to settings, I get a “Server settings are unavailable.”

I also tried to restor the com.plexapp.plugins.library.blobs.db from the same backup.

I am on ubuntu.

HELP!!!

Would need server logs after restarting the server - hopefully you have not disabled debug logging - if you have then would need to edit Preferences.xml

may be permissions are wrong now

You’re right! I forgot that plex uses plex:plex vs user that was used to install!

Changing ownership on the two .db files fixed the issue! Would be good to note that in wiki!
