Help setting up IP range for devices without auth

I’m looking at the setting “List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth”
I would like to allow everything at 192.168.0.xxx but I’m not familiar with IP/net mask combos

From little bits of info I have found in other posts this is what I’m looking for I think, but I’m not too sure.
192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0
Is this correct?

192.168.0.0/24
should work just fine.

But never, ever combine this with a reverse proxy or you are wide open to the whole internet.

Awesome, thank you @OttoKerner

With the new release requiring ALL to authenticate, does this still work???

There is nothing new about this.
This was a necessity since pretty much v1.0 (or maybe even earlier)
If the server is signed into a plex.tv account, a client needs to authenticate itself.

And yes, this preference disables it ( - if the network address or network range in the preference is one of the IP ranges reserved for ‘private’ use.)

Does this mean if the server is NOT signed in, I can use locally without authentication?

In any case, I can’t get the “List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth” to work at all. My clients keep asking me to sign in.

Yes. If the client supports manually typed in server IPs. Not all clients can do that

What did you put in (make sure there are no space characters whatsoever)
And which type of clients are you using?
