I have been using Plex connected to my Mac (currently MacOS Monterey) for years but lately it has been giving the “retrying connection” error over and over. I have tried all the troubleshooting listed (e.g. download latest Plex Media Server for Mac, sign out then sign in to Plex account) but nothing seems to work. Kindly advise.
Is your Plex Server running on the MAC? Are you trying to connect to it from a computer on your LAN, ie. locally? If so, you should be able to sit down on the MAC and directly connect to it using https://127.0.0.1:32400/web Even from another computer on your LAN you should be able to use https://ip.add.of.pms:32400/web for example you might use https://192.168.1.40:32400/web
If you are trying to connect remotely, please describe in detail everything about you LAN, server, networking, port forwarding, and then screenshot the error messages and drop them on the compose window here with your reply?
