Someone help, completely new to plex AND mac and can no longer get plex to find media server. I have tried everything i have found in the forums, with reinstalling, checking proxy servers, etc. Nothing works and I couldnt be any more frustrated at this point.

You aren’t getting through most likely has to do with your router,
Assuming you’re using port 32400 for remote access, is the port forwarded/open?
Do you have a green check mark in the server settings?
If you can, go to http://www.canyouseeme.org and see if it is indeed open from the outside.
