I had plex on my pc with all my files on several external hard drives…no problems. I bought a new pc and switched my plex server over, but then decided to go back to my old pc. Now my old pc wont recognize the external hard drives. Ive tried uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting, different jacks etc… Im just trying to get my setup back. Any help would be appreciated…
I noticed that when i go to scan for folders the path C: etc… is showing up as the newer pc and i cannot get it to show up as the pc it is currently on.
You need to stop and restart Plex server after plugging in new external drives.
i did that several times no luck. Somehow now i claimed my old server name, and everything is running fine.
