I have created a connection to plex media server so that when a new show is downloaded and added it will update the plex library. However I’m noticing that plex is updating before the show is officially in my movie folder the reason i know plex has run an update is because i would notice other new content was added to the plex library from the previous sonarr download. Are there any changes in my settings I could make to rectify the problem ?
I do not use the notification connector.
Instead, I have enabled “Update my library automatically” and “Run a partial scan”.
I have Sonarr configured to work in its area but deposit the resultant file directly into the Television library.
In this method, PMS only scans the file after Sonarr has completed all its work, including the quintessential renaming, and the file is actually ready for PMS.
Yeah I figure I would do the same, however Im transferring over 10tb of media to my media folder and I don’t want it to be continuously running scans every time something uploads, I will set it to update automatically when the upload finishes I was hoping that I could use the plex notification method in the mean time.
Don’t try to mix automatic notification while doing a ‘bulk load’ of data. Ever try to sample the soup while it’s cooking? Same effect: You’ll get your fingers burned
