My Plex server isn’t the most powerful machine on my home network. How about a “Plex Helper” app for Windows that can take advantage of other powerful machines on the home LAN?
PMS would look for Plex Helper apps on the same network, shuffle a full size video to them with a request for 3Mbps version etc, Plex Helper would convert and send back to PMS.
A request for the same feature exists already, and it has more votes.
