I want buy the new Surface go 2 at 400 dollars with Intel Pentium Gold 4425Y , but i would know if i can run Plex with a h265 / Hevc transcoding in full HD video 1080p and lower…, h264 ?
I have the Synology 918+ but i want made Direct play with this tablet like on my phone (Samsung Galaxy s8) so the tablet need to transcoding no?
I want this tablet because i can run in backgroup hue sync and have my little tablet with hue light ! It’s possible? any idea? i can install Plex and hue sync when i disable “windows 10 s” it’s a new things, now surface go 2 can run on windows 10 home.
So i Can install all windows apps
I watch on the web Intel Pentium gold 4425Y can “decode” and “encode” h265 10bit but he had enouth power to did it well in full HD? And if i add hue Sync ?

I have Synology 918+ with Plex media Server and he can transcoding h265 4k.
It’s possible to read my video on the surface go 2 with “Plex for Windows” ?

Just to be sure, It dépend a lot on my files okay. But if its work on my smartphone and smart TV, they have lot or chance it work on surface go 2 no?
Yes. It Work fine, i Just try 30 minutes, launch HEVC 10bit and it Work fine!
For 4k HEVC 10bit forget! Not enouth perf. But we Can set HD 4Mb and it works perfect also with good quality.
After, it’s overkill to read 4k with full HD screen. But connect 4k vidéo screen on Plex don’t works with HEVC 10bit on this tablet.
But for 1080p, perfect !
After that i try to put hue sync and it Work also perfect in full HD.

Picture IS beatiful on 4k, not “washed out” but picture seems have 10 fps (not 25).
