Is there a way to hide Collections from my movie Library without hiding the films in a collection, or disabling collections?
I want all the films to be in the list, without the ‘collection’ showing unless you actually click on ‘Collections’
Is this already a feature that I am overlooking?
‘Disable’ will do exactly that.
disable simply removes/hides them from the movie view, it doesn’t disable collections entirely

Sorry, I am new to this. I want to hide a “Christmas Collection” and I cannot find where the library setting is to “disable” so I only see that collection when I want to! Please explain?
‘Disable’ would de-activate every collection in the library.
Click the ‘Pencil’ on the collection to enter the Collection Editor, go to advanced, Hide This collection.
(this may also hide the movies in it - you’ll have to test drive it)
If something undesirable happens - it’s easy enough to delete the collection, then after Thanksgiving sort by ‘Christmas’, then add every item on the page to a “Christmas” collection.
No. It will only prevent them from being shown in-line in your library.
Which to a West Virginian means exactly what I said. You may have a better grasp of the language, but I’ve been speaking it wrong longer. lol

I think what @OttoKerner is saying is that in library view there is absolutely no indication of collections being used. They don’t appear at all, so there is no bogus movie count with that setting disabled.
If you have 1500 movies you will see 1500 movies in your library view.
However they do still exist in the collection tab that most (if not all) clients now have.
