Hide Plex Movies and Shows tab

Hey everyone! Something I recently noticed on my child’s iPad is when Plex isn’t connected to my Synology Server, the Plex Movies and Shows tab comes up under “home”. I have restrictions set for ratings on their account, but I would much prefer they can even see these movies as some have pretty graphic artwork. Is there any way to completely disable this tab or remove it from their account? Thanks!

Assuming you’ve created “managed accounts” for your kids:

  1. open https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/online-media-sources
  2. click the Edit link for the Movies & TV option
  3. set it to Disabled for Managed Accounts

The same configuration can be applied to any of Plex’ online media sources.
