I originally reported this in the Android TV section but it turns out this is not working for any client (even web). I have a TV shows library with the Seasons setting at “Hide”. However, every client shows all the seasons for each show causing me to have to select the season to see episodes even when there is only one season. Isn’t this setting supposed to avoid that?
Where are you seeing this setting?
In the “Advanced” section of “Edit Library” for TV Shows.
That’s why there’s a forum specifically for the DVR beta.
How is one supposed to know it is a DVR beta-only “feature” when it is a general library setting and is not directly related to DVR?
You know you are running the DVR Beta, so I would guess any discussion about anything in that beta should probably take place there. Even if something isn’t directly related to the DVR functionality…

It will eventually go into affect. Just none of the clients support it right now.

Any word on when this will fully go into effect? I’m using server version 1.4.2.3400, not the DVR beta. It seems to work with Plex for Android, but not in PMP or Plex Web.
Edit: Also, any plans on making this setting editable on the Series level? For myself, I separate out miniseries from regular TV shows. Miniseries is going with hiding seasons, regular is not. It would be nice, for example, to change Band of Brothers to show the season folders since I have several specials with it. Or being able to turn off season folders for regular TV shows that only lasted a single season and don’t have any extras with them.

You can do that already. Select a TV Show, click on edit and under advanced you have three options for seasons (Library default, Show, Hide)

It works in Plex Web 3.0, which is currently only available on http://plex.tv/web
It will be included with the next server release for local use.

Thanks, I guess that’s why I haven’t seen it. I haven’t used plex.tv to watch anything since it updated to 3.0. I really hope they fix some of the issues with the new interface before rolling it out with PMS.
