High Speed Channels

I’ve noticed some channels come in faster then they should, which causes buffering problems. They won’t play at normal speed.

Mac with Channelpear and CCloud channels. Same problem with same channels on both.

The problem seems to come from arconaitv.me/

The two channels I’m having problems with are the 24/7 Battlestar Galactica and the 24/7 Star Wars & Star Trek channels

I’d love to find and app for these channels. The site requires no ad block.

PS: I can play the channel though my Chromecast using the Chrome browser.

This is my 20th discussion post and I have almost no replies. Does anyone ever give real answers to these posts?

You’ll catch more fish if you fish in a body of water that has fish in it.

It’s always nice to know which pond to fish in.

No fish here either.

Well… channels are ‘officially’ unsupported, so if you can’t get the channel developer interested I guess they’re really unsupported.

Nutshell:
Someone used a Chartreuse Grenade in the pond.

I just want to know why we have a problem viewing and what is needed, other then a new app, to fix the problem?

JuiceWSA, it’s easy to simply say it’s not our problem.

The only thing I’m saying is that if you go the channel forum, search for your channel app, find the thread that references it (if there is one) and flag the developer that there’s a problem is about the only way to get a problem fixed with it. Plex officially doesn’t support channels and that’s not me talking that’s Plex. Channels are wholly in the purview of the individual channel (app) developer and not really a part of Plex.

You may even have to go outside of this forum to a github area to track down a Plex Channel developer - and that description is more than a bit misleading. It’s a channel that should work in Plex, but it can’t be a ‘Plex Channel’ as Plex doesn’t support channels.

In fact, I just ran a Google for the channels/apps/streams you mention and came up with squat - except for this thread. It looks like if there ever was a developer and channels meant to work with Plex they have long since gone away or never existed in the first place. The only way to get any traction on these is to get a third party developer interested in creating an app for them that will work within Plex.

Just sayin’.

I agree with everything you say and I already know what your saying, but I was hoping someone could come up with the reason the channels do what they are doing and I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a fix or an app.

I already get most of my new apps from Github. I have a feeling the group that has the channels does something to the stream that requires a software fix. A fix that’s in the stream they put out. so you have to use there service.
