Hitting "Optimize" for my 'TV Shows' Folder has made my files unreadable

My question is simple:

I hit the “Optimize” button for my HTPC Plex Server with a lifetime account.

Now many of my files in my ‘TV Shows’ folder will not play on neither my actual computer nor my TVs on the same WiFi.

Question: How can I get back to the exact same condition before I hit the “Optimize” button?

My AI research told me this is a known issue. WHY is PLEX still offering this as an option if it keeps messing up peoples library? I am seriously disappointed because I have spent SO many hours trying to make my PLEX server perfect and now it’s all ruined……

Which Optimize button?

Did you (a) optimize the database in Settings → Troubleshooting, (b) create optimized versions of your media, or (c) something else?

Not to get in the way of FordGuy’s debugging, but maybe your issue was fixed in the latest PMS beta?

Settings - [server name] - Manage - Optimized Versions
You can remove the optimized versions of each optimization job there.
