Hls/mpegts selected when trying to watch from xteve

Server Version#: 1.21.1.3830
Player Version#: 1.25.0.1511-47afccd4

I am trying to watch from a local (as to plex server) xteve, I can see all the channels in the plex, but when I started watching, I always got an error of “Could not tune channel”. Based on the plex server log, it seems that it’s trying to transcode? I got an error as in the log picture attached. Anybody know how to fix this? All plex clients/servers are on the same LAN and I can watch the xteve through vlc, although it took some time for vlc to start and vlc is freezing from time to time (guess due to the iptv source being on the other continent).

Check media information of the xTeve stream in VLC. Note the media codec and audio codec.

Plex is most likely transcoding because of audio. Some of the streams are ADTS and need to be transcoded. If you are using xTeve’s FFmpeg settings, change the word “copy” to “ac3” in the FFmpeg options of xTeve.
