Somehow the Home area has turned into a useless area.
Before it was like the web where one had Recently Added Movies and Recently Added TV.
Now it is Recently Added Movies (blablabla) for each of the libraries one has in the left menu and for tv too. And on top a 'Tis the Season! (blablabla) for each library too, and it is not wanted.
It is no longer possible to get a prober overview of newly added stuff and half of the time it is the same list for everything too so very buggy.
Is it possible to set it back to the original where it was just one line with movies and one with tv?
Also, the reason for my visit today is regarding the ârecently addedâ sections. They used to scroll right for something like the last 50 entries. now its more like 6. Please can it go back to how it was?
I think this is the same reason I am here.
Jump on today and with the addition of the stupid âtis the seasonâ crap⊠my home section has 3 of those lists, 5 ârecently added moviesâ list and 5 ârecently added TVâ lists.
All of which are at different stages of things getting added. Like the beginning of one list is a movie that is 5 or six movies into another list. Same goes for TV. Itâs all over the shop and horrible.
And to top it off, when I pinpoint the lists that are correct and try to delete the others I always end up removing the one I want to keep because of the way your system has done this.
Say I want to keep the ârecently added TVâ list that is at the top⊠I got to the bottom to start working my way up, select the bottom most ârecently added TVâ list⊠and it removes the top on I want to keepâŠ
For the other platforms, there is an option to edit the Home Screen, but there doesnât seem to be one on the Samsung app.
I have several libraries for both TV and Movies, and having to scroll through an entire list of libraries to see new content is impractical. One Recently Added row for Movies and one for TV was enough.
I donât even mind the âTis The Seasonâ addition, but I donât need a separate one for each movie library. We need to be able to Edit the Home Screen like the other platforms allow.
Please give an option to have the previous home screen. I loved PLEX for itâs simplicity. I have got the server on PC to display as before but cannot for my samsung TV.
I agree with the other comments in this thread. The new Home Screen reminds me of why I donât use Netflix that often. Having the recent added TV and movie sections for all libraries was a simple feature but took away from the complexity of having to search for content.
Has anyone from Plex even acknowledged the issue? Not only is the lack of control over the Home Screen a problem, but itâs not working properly on my Samsung.
When the Home Screen initially loads, it shows Recently Added for each library, but once I chose something then exit back out, itâs a mess. Every film library is on one line again, itâs just repeats itself for every library. The TV libraries do the same. It would be nice to at least have the option to opt out of this new feature, whether it works properly or not.
I havenât sent logs. No one appears to be monitoring or acknowledging these issues in the forums.
With all of the many useful functions that could benefit Plex users (making Playlists more advanced comes to mind), did anyone even ask for yet another cosmetic change to the Home Screen? This seems like an unnecessary waste of time and resources.
What does âchangesâ mean?
Are you guys repairing the problems that were introduced in the latest release? Because right now, the bugs make the Home screen basically useless.
On my mac you promoted that there will be an update to the homescreen and in the end I clicked ok to the switch as it was going to happen anyways.
And what happened you made it just like on the tv and now it is completely useless.
I think you need to explain how this ânew thingâ is useful!!!
Ahhh a small update I see that if I set it back to manual it get back to normal again, but we still need this option on our TVs, please do something about it!!!
