Recent Change To Home Screen (Any Device, Even Web) Unwanted

A change happened within the last couple of weeks that I, and a few of my family members who view my Plex, simply do not like - Multiple ‘Recently Added’ listings for each library.

I have four Movie libraries - Movies, Documentaries, Comedians, Holiday Movies

I have two TV libraries - TV, Docu-Series

Previously, Plex would list any new content to any of the four Movie libraries on a single bar, or row, or whatever you want to call it - If there was something new in Movies, Documentaries, Comedians, Holiday Movies, they would all appear on the same listing on the home screen, all under Recently Added Movies.

The same goes for TV and Docu-Series - One row listing any new content to either.

However, now, my home screen is a list of 6 rows - four for Movies (Movies, Documentaries, Comedians, Holiday Movies) and two for TV (TV and Docu-Series).

This is Awful. Awful and cluttered.

It’s literally this:

Recently Added Movies: XYZ XYZ XYZ XYZ XYZ XYZ XYZ XYZ XYZ XYZ XYZ XYZ XYZ

Combine this with On Deck, and Continue watching, and the ‘Tis the Season’ also crapping up the place, and my Home Screen is like 10 rows long!

Is there any way to go back to the previous layout? One row for each library type?

A ‘Recently Added’ row for each library is just too much junk on the home screen.

That does not sound like what I am talking about. I’m seeing these multiple ‘Recently Added’ on FireTV, Web and Roku.

It does if you read to the end :wink:

Some of the small updates we are making, including the split of Recently Added by library (only for pinned sources on home) are to be able to support that type of future functionality.

Okay, but if this becomes something that you intend, please have a way to choose a ‘Combine Recently Added By Library Type’ as an option, and preferably on the server-side, as I don’t want to inform multiple people on multiple devices how to hide all that clutter.

You can use Manual Home settings rather than Automatic.
Every user has to do the same on every device.
Not a great solution but it’s all I’ve been able to find.

This is my home screen (Zoomed out). WAY too much going on there, due to all of these separate libraries each being listed - and I don’t happen to have a Continue Watching, which would be yet even one more row!

Please Resolve.

I, too, have multiple libraries. That changed combined with the change that the order is now static instead of reordered by what has the most recent additions makes the hub barely useable and anything in the bottom rows gets buried. All that results in a barely useful homescreen for me.

This is a usability nightmare.

This is one example what I mean when I say: “using plex is like death by a thousand cuts”.
Why would you guys roll that out in that unfinished state to endusers. Do you not have beta testers? Do you not have QA ppl? This is mind-boggling.

Give us an option to switch back to the old, useable version.

I am beyond frustrated with plex inc at this point.
