For a long time now, the content on the home screen sometimes falls out of sync with your current watch progress and the Plex server’s new content. This only seems to happen on the apps, Android, Windows, and I’m assuming IOS, (though I don’t have it to test.)
The Watch Progress sync problem happens when using the Plex app on a secondary device, and then returning to the first device. This is especially a problem with Android TV apps, such as the Fire TV, or the Chromecast app, as the Plex app seems to hibernate in the background for hours, and not refresh the home screen when returned to.
On the current mobile phone Android app UI, you have the option of refreshing by gesturing down. This UI preview doesn’t seem to have the ability to even manually refresh, (correct me if I missed it).
TLDR;
The Home Screen on Plex on every app, should automatically refresh the content on the Home Screen, so watch progress stays in sync with other devices, and newly added or changed content stays in sync with the server.
If this is a limitation of Android and IOS then at the very least, the home screen should refresh and sync when returning to the app, and maintain the ability to be manually refreshed, as you can with the current Plex UI. (Also the ability to manually refresh the TV apps would be handy.)
