Hi,
Over the past few months i’ve been using the 360 app more and more, but annoyingly so it comes up with ‘There was an error communicating with your Plex Media Server. Make sure it’s turned on and accessible and try again’. Yet every other device in my house works perfectly fine with no issues at all.
Any ideas?
I have the same problem on my xbox one 
I have this issue often. Also some times the video only plays for a few minutes and stops.
This one worked for me:
Login to the web interface, go to settings on the server, network and show advanced.
Make sure Secure connections is set to pefered and not forced. This gave me issues on both my 360 and xbox one.

Was having trouble with my plex since the last update, xbox 360 was showing “server appears to be offline”, mine was set to" required", as soon as I changed it to prefered it all came back up,
