Just started using Plex for xbox 360 yesterday
appeared to work fine with the version of the plex server i was using unable to advise what version it was now as the install has been updated. I am a fan of the companion app and noticed i needed to update to 9.12.12 to get this functionality to work.
So new install of plex server on unraid
set up all my libraries everything is working fine
When i try and browse a library on the 360 it provides the following error
“There was an error communicating with your Plex media server, make sure it’s turned on and accessible and try again”
I currently have 3 libraries
Movies - 135 movies
Tv Shows - 56 shows with 2450 episodes in total
Anime - 126 shows with 2141 episodes in total
If i select the Movies library it opens and lists all the movies so it can be browsed
If i select the Tv Shows library it times out and provides the above message
If i select the Anime library it times out and provides the above message
The silly thing is i can use plex on my galaxy s5 browse all the libraries without issue and i can even cast the episodes from my phone to the 360 and it works flawlessly at 8mb 1080p settings
In a previous question i had noted someone mentioned to change the secure connection option to preferred
This was how it was already configured so i tried setting it to disabled
restarted the plex server and the xbox and no change
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
