Most likely the same, Version 1.29.1.6260 on 64bit ubuntu.
Could be a timing thing. I added the show pretty much immediately when it aired so could have a stale cache for the theme lurking around in the plex media server metadata files.
Will experiment tomorrow when I’m back at my actual PC. Would have assumed a metadata refresh would update it if the correct one is working for you but maybe a dance is needed. Thanks all the same to you both for the replies.
Guess this is a bug where if the theme changed on the plex side it does NOT flow down into your the local plex server correctly. A standard metadata refresh did update the theme, only a plex dance sorted it.
One final update. I ran another test. I took a backup of my server, before doing the plex dance of the show, which still contained the incorrect theme.
I subsequently then 1) stopped plex, 2) deleted the contents of /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Metadata, 3) restarted the server and 4) refreshed all my plex libraries.
Plex then downloaded the correct theme for the show.
Based on my testing, I guess as theme changes happen so infrequently that the metadata refresh code does not update it and it needs to be forced via a manual nuke of the metadata or a plex dance of the show. @drzoidberg33 adding you for awareness in case this scenario is of interest.
This is very interesting as I have seen the same behavior on my side. (Also while changing background music volume) I also opened a thread about this one two months ago but no response there. =>
