How can I bring Cover Art to show at Folder Level

I manage my video library by folders. First level is three folders: 1) Documentaries, 2) Animation, 3) Movies. So as an example, when you open a folder (Animation), you see ~20 files/films with the titles shown but there is no cover art for each film. For example, when you click on, say, The Incredibles (name but no cover art), Plex opens to the film and shows THEN shows Cover Art. I can then click on that and the movie plays

Question 1): How can i get cover art to show for all the films in the folder so when you view the folder, you also view cover art for the 20 files/films? As of now, there are only empty covers with titles underneath. And i know cover art is available since it is shown when i click on a specific film.

Question 2): I would also like to add some cover art to the high level folders, e.g. Documentaries. It is fine with me if it were cover art for one of the films within that folder selected randomly or for me to select some kind of art myself.

Many thanks for any help on this. The solution to question 1 is of far greater interest…

Sorry, but you can’t add artwork to the folder icon - you get the generic folder icon when you view by folder.

This seems like an obvious thing to add, as I assume a lot of people organise their moves/TV by folder. Are there plans to add this capability? Otherwise I love the ease of adding cover/metadata in the Plex server, really loving over to it quickly.

Please add this. Just use folder.jpg if it exists.
