I have a Pi3 with 1.03 installed. Connected to server over wired network. The server has internet connection through wireless but has to go through a web login like in a hotel. Is there anyway to get Rasplex to see the server without logging in? I have done this in the past with an older setup.
If I hook up my laptop to network and sign in the server is located no problem. if I dont sign in it says server Unauthorised.
There’s not a reliable way of which I’m aware. The clinch is you have to sign in on the PI at least once. Plex forces all the authentication through their servers and you’d need a proper token and no SSL.
Disable SSL on the server.
Connect PI to internet connection.
Sign in on the PI.
Choose Auto-login in the Rasplex preferences.
It should cache the user token and allow you to login without an internet connection.
Would it retain the the user token even through a reboot?
It should do, I use one Rasplex install where there is no internet, as @benjaminwolf says make sure you disable secure servers, sign in once with an Internet connection, don’t use any PlexPass features, such as Home, Premium Music, etc.

Thanks guys I managed to get round the problem by sharing my internet connection and creating a wifi hotspot to connect to. All systems go now, 7 Rasplex heads connecting to the server

Did you get them working offline once you got the Pis logged in?
