How can I get Plex to refresh this artist and their albums?

So, I mistakenly had an artist folder, and under that folder rather than have two album folders I had all tracks in the artist folder.

Plex scanned this and created a single album for that artist with all tracks within it.

I have since corrected this error and created two album folders under the artists folder, and moved the relevant tracks into these folders.

I’ve tried re-scanning the entire Music library and refreshing the metadata for the artist and single album but whatever I try I cannot get Plex to recognise their are now two albums…

Note that the individual tracks are tagged wih the correct “Album Artist” tag.

Short of deleting the whole artist folder (and album folders) from disk, how can I get Plex to recognise this change?

edit: also tried unmatch, fix match etc

Perform the Plex Dance with the two albums.

It can’t hurt to have complete and correct meta tags in the files.
If you have “Prefer local metatags” enabled, that is very much required.

I don’t believe I selected prefer local metatags, but will check.
