How can I record OTA via Plex DVR/HDHomeRun and still watch live OTA from the same antenna?

My thought is this…
Bring the antenna coaxial into a splitter, one end goes to HDHomeRun Connect, the other goes directly into my TV. I can then setup my recordings via Plex DVR on my HTPC (which connects to my receiver) and still have my regular, live OTA when I want it connected directly to the TV. This, of course, would be a temporary fix until Plex comes up with a way to watch live TV through they DVR service.

What you describe will work just fine.
Also, there is a 3rd Party plugin that will allow you to watch LIVE TV inside of the Plex App using the HDHomerun device.

there is a pretty good app for the Live TV front end, why not join forces and build one uber platform, they are wanting to develop there product to include DRM support, and currently it is not viable maybe working together could make plex the smarter platform for all audio visio, Also can we build in Tidal support for that MSR lossless formats !!
