How can I save the last chosen audio track in an episode to be auto set for the next episode?

If there are more than 1 audio track in a movie, I can switch them and choose the one I need.
But when I play another episode of THE SAME SEASON, THE SAME SERIES - I have to choose this track again. In the next episode - AGAIN… AGAIN AND AGAIN IN EVERY NEXT EPISODE.

I have already put this question a few months ago, the support reported that it had been fixed, but maybe they misunderstood something.

You can only let Plex pre-select audio tracks by language.
But not by number, or audio codec, or anything else.

For this to work, your files need to have the language of their audio and subtitle tracks correctly tagged.

What prevents from just “remembering” the last chosen audio track and subtitle?
Tracks/subtitles have their order inside the files, you can “remember” it by the index.
No UI forms/panels, no “settings” - just save it by default for the whole season of the show

Buit it does remember your manual selection.
It just doesn’t make the same selection in the next episode. Because there is no guarantee that this one has the same number and order of tracks as the previous episode.

Usually, the do have the same tracks and subtitles following in the same order.
Also you can make sure about the saved/loaded default selection by remembering the NAMES of the tracks.

What I want is remembering not language, I need the correct translation track be chosen by default (there can be more than 1 translation track for the show in the same file)

By “translation track” you mean subtitles, right?
As long as the subtitles are tagged with your chosen language, it can be selected automatically.
If the file has several subtitles in the same language in it, the first of them will be selected.

For instance I have selected English as my preferred language for both audio and subtitles.
I have “Shown with foreign audio” as subtitle selection mode.

Now here is a video which doesn’t have English audio, but English subtitles.
So this counts as “foreign audio” and thus the English subtitles are selected automatically, (even though they are not the first subtitles in the file).

No, I mean that for example I have a Japanese show that is translated (audio) to English by 2 different teams. So I have 2 (!!!) English audio tracks in each file/episode. By default, Plex gives me track #1. But I want track #2. Plex remembers my choice, but in 1 episode only.
I want to choose my track once and this choice be applied for each episode of the same season.

This is unfortunately not possible.

Well, it is a very bad news :((
I hope one day you will do this. It is very simple to implement.

Even though Plex doesn’t offer the feature you want, there are two third-party scripts available to meet your needs. You might want to give them a try.
