How do I enable Dolby Vision on Plex TV app on Amazon Fire HDTV

I would like to know how do I enable Dolby Vision on Plex TV app on Amazon Fire HDTV. My new Amazon Fire HDTV does have Dolby vision. So when I put movie that has Dolby vision in the file, click movie to start on HDTV, it only can show HDR but not Dolby Vision. Any clue?

Does your TV also support Dolby Vision? If not, this won’t work.

Yes my new Toshiba Amazon Fire HDTV supports Dolby Vision which came out. I assume Plex app is not yet support Dolby Vision?

Only certain type of DV is supported. Can you provide the XML info for the movie you tried?

I’m not familiar with that area. Sorry but I will do my best to explain. What I did is went to rarbg.to to get some movies with HDR, put them on put.io, downloaded them to Plex movies folder to connect to Plex app on Amazon Fire HDTV via Plex Media Server. Customer support said maybe those movies with HDR do not include Dolby Vision.

Click on the link I provided. That has instruction son what I want.

Do you mean XML info link? I will check it out.

Here it is.

Not quite there. Click on where it says “View XML”. You’ll get a text output. Copy/paste that to a text files and attach that file.

When I clicked it, I only see blank. Not sure what happened.

Try from a desktop. Mobile browsers are crap.

This one is from Mac.

That’s odd.
