How do i fix the duplicate file issue?

It looks like some sort of race condition. Your scanner logs indicate that when you ran the scan manually, it found Dunkirk for a second time. It appears that during the first time, it hadn’t finished matching the file so it never finished getting incorporated into the database properly so when it found it for a second time, it didn’t realize it was the same item and added it as a separate second item.

The problem is I don’t know what is causing the file to get added the first time. Do you have any of the options enabled to automatically update your library? If so turn all of them off and redo the Plex dance. If it doesn’t work, please get me a new log so I can see if it is still finding the file twice.

FWIW, I have not experienced this again since turning off the auto-update of the library when changes are detected.

I had turned the auto updating off in Plex and was letting Sonarr & Radar connect and do it, and it was working fine. But just for fun today switched and turned it off in those apps and will let Plex handle it. Before I had both doing it and was getting dupes, so I guess let one or the other do it but not both.

A data point, as promised here - this happened again today, and so is still happening intermittently as of Version 1.13.0.5003 …

Oddly enough, one thing I did notice on this is that the “Duplicate files” being shown only appear on the Web UI, they do not appear on the Android application. Never noticed that before.
Hmmm…

Disabling “on grab” function in Sonarr has removed the duplicate file reference issues for me.

If you are still having issues with this. I found that disabling the “Collections” options within the advance section of the selected library worked
