I cannot get Plex Mix or Mood to show up and want to turn fingerprinting on. How do I do that?
When you created your Music library did you have it as Premium music or a regular library?
Fingerprinting is just part of a Premium Library and it does it when it is scanning in the media files. Theres is no special setting to turn it on.
Plex Mix is created via a track in a premium library. For tracks in a Premium music library click on the ellipses and choose Plex Mix. Though looking it appears to be missing from Web app. I have reported that as a bug. It should still show for a track in a player app. Image below is from Android TV app on Nvidia Shield.
I’m using the NVidia Shield as the PMS server and client. Are you saying I need to delete my library link and recreate it to see Plex Mix as an option?
Regarding the fingerprinting, is it enabled on the Shield PMS or is it also a case where I have to delete and recreate the library link?
Edit: Okay, so I deleted my music library and added it again and it gave the option to set it as premium. It’s updating (albeit very slowly since it’s the NVidia Shield). I’ll have an idea in a few hours (or days) when I start getting music in my library again if it worked. One drawback on this device is that it is slooooow to build the library. When I first set it up, I had to do it in a specific order too. If I set up everything, the TV shows wouldn’t populate. I had to actually do those first to get them to populate correctly.
yeah unfortunately you cannot convert a regular library into a Premium one. has to be selected when library first created.
