What are the steps to watch Live TV on my Android device?

So far I’ve installed the latest version of Plex (ver 1.7.3.3937 ). Configured HDHomeRun EXTEND. Successfully recorded a TV show via the web interface.

This is where everything goes wrong - I went to download Android TV (https://www.plex.tv/downloads/) only to find that it’s listed as Plex (not Android TV) in Google Play. I already had it installed and have been successfully using it but it needed to be updated. Once updated (ver 6.1.1.656) I opened the app, logged in as the admin user, browsed the menus and settings but don’t find anything related to LiveTV. In fact the recording schedule, program guide that are in the Web Interface are missing as well. I then looked for steps on how to watch live TV on my Android device but can’t find any.

Can someone please help?

Android TV means an actual box to connect to your TV, like an Nvidia Shield, not an Android mobile device.

Understood. I did not know that Android TV was a dedicated device.

Is there a estimated date when LiveTV will be available for Android phones?

As @plexip is alluding, Plex does not put timelines on new features. They apparently like to surprise us. All we know is they are working on other platforms.

Ouch :* Is there a Plex schedule for what’s being worked on for upcoming releases or at least the next release?
