How do I stop the notifications?

Didn’t realize I missed this thread. I opened a thread on this very topic, but for Android yesterday.

Hi @andremedeiros - My apologies for the multiple push notifications you’re seeing here. On April 26 we started sending push notifications to a small number of accounts who had previously engaged with our ad supported movies & Live TV products as an initial test with these messages. We are actively working on introducing settings to control them but decided to proceed with the test and limit this to a maximum of one notification per account.

Last night we realized there was an error with how the notifications were configured on our side that would have sent a 2nd notification to some accounts. We’ve disabled these notifications completely and won’t be sending any more of these push notifications until the settings are available in our mobile apps. When we do we’ll also be more conservative in terms of who receives them.

Can you clarify how many times you’ve seen these notifications and on how many devices? Have you received any more since the one you posted in your screenshot? I want to make sure there isn’t another bug we haven’t caught yet.

I am beyond impressed with your reply. Thank you for owning up the mistake and changing course. I honestly had a ticket about getting a refund for the lifetime Plex sub, but I’m taking that back.

If I get more notifications you’ll be the first to know.

You’re pushing ads for Plex to people that use Plex. Seems like the wrong audience. :slightly_smiling_face:

Dan, it was a push for the on plex on demand/adsupported/livetv stuff (not plexpass or whatever), so it (theoretically) could apply to any existing plex user.

Ah, that makes more sense. I thought it was just a general “Hey, you should check out Plex”, which is good advice. :slight_smile:
