WTF is going on? I have gone to several of my “questions” and put a reply and ANSWERED THE QUESTION that pops up
AND STILL the question shows that i have not accepted the answer
and the stupid popup window (youve asked questions…) KEEPS showing up .
If you have a process that is going to annoy your users, please MAKE SURE it WORKS
Look in Your Discussions. It only takes one ‘unanswered’ (a Question needing a ‘Yes’) to pop up the message
This problem has cropped up many times for many users, where the message keeps popping up, even though all answer prompts have been dismissed. It seems to be a problem with the Vanilla forum software, and so is beyond Plex’s control.
Many of us have simply made sure to change our message types to ‘New Discussion,’ rather than ‘Ask a question,’ just to avoid this problem. It would be nice if Plex could at least change the default from ‘question’ to ‘discussion,’ but I don’t know if Vanilla allows that.
The idea is to mark the post with the answer to your problem as ‘the answer’.
Not creating new responses yourself and marking these as answers.
Responses which are not the answer, you can ‘reject’ by clicking on the tiny ‘No’ button under it.
The popup has a link to those threads which triggered it.
If you have a thread which appears again and again, even though you marked every post as either ‘answer’ or ‘no answer’ please copy the link into your response here.
A moderator can then switch off the popup for this thread.
the question about whether the answer works … does NOT come up again… i had DONE IT for all the questions and it STILL COMES UP.
Can you click on the link that appears in the popup and then copy the URL of that thread please?
