How do I turn off crossfade in music playback?

Hi everybody,

My music player is crossfading between songs. That is, it starts the next song
before the previous one is finished.

I checked the settings in my plex home theater, and the crossfade setting was
set to off, yet still the player crossfades.

Is there a server setting to turn it off completely?

by the way, I’m looking forward to gapless playback, but crossfading is not an
option for me as I’m listening to metal and not techno.

I really need help with this unwanted crossfade. Playing music to amp via HDMI from a qnap NAS using the PLEX app residing on the NAS. Even with PLEX set to no crossfade I am still getting it. Using other music players on the NAS I do not get crossfade. Anyone have a fix for me?
