How do I use DVR function to record with a cable subscription

I have a cable tv subscription. I can watch cable directly on my computer from the cable company’s website. Can i use Plex DVR function to schedule and record channels without additional hardware?

For recording Plex requires a tuner so you’ll need to purchase that at least.

Plex doesn’t support “streaming” websites.
