How do you clear "Reported Issues"

Hopefully they will provide an update, seems pretty common that there would be a way to clear reports so you don’t confuse issues.

Dear @McWanke … last status from November 2023… time to get onto the developers nerves and nag them a bit…

It’s no good news, that there isn’t any news.

Reported issues about Plex media should go to Plex staff or right into its own thread here (of course, with a due warning that the report will be published online.

Reports on media from PMS owners - be it friends or super users of managed ones - should go to them directly.

And - as stated on so many occasions in this thread - should be able to be marked as read, archived, solved, ignored or deleted. Status of this should be visible to the reporting user.

The view of th PMS owner should be choosable option from “all”, “unsolved”, “solved”, “unread”, “read”, “archived”, “not archived”, “ignored”. Th dashboard of the PMS owner should badge only new and unread reports, the dashboard of th reporting users should show changes for all reports (at least those marked as solved or deleted)

Deleted reports should be just that - deleted. No way back.

Other than that, no further communication using that reporting system. We don’t want another email system implemented (at least, I don’t want).

@McWanke seems to be mia these days, looking at their profile, no replies anywhere since Feb…

It has been a busy year to say the least… but we haven’t forgotten about this. We have put the pieces in place from a design and planning standpoint, unfortunately this project got bumped back slightly in priority. While not making any promises, I do anticipate this project being added to our internal 2025 roadmap.

Oh boy, I’d LOVE to get a peek at that roadmap. hint hint

oh well, suppose I am grateful for the response even if it is pretty disappointing. That something might happen in 2025… So we get more ‘social’ features like Reactions, but fixes to exisiting features that are not really fit for purpose get kicked down the road.

Good to know where the priorities are…

While it isn’t as fully laid out as we eventually want to get to, I posted a pretty in depth post at the very end of the Fireside with quite a bit of information in it around upcoming work that we have planned.

The main problem with “reported issues” is that we don’t have a good place right now to surface them for review and also with functions for removal. That gap is recognized though and will hopefully be a project that another team targets before too long.

I speak for I would guess 99.9999% of users of this feature when I say that a preferred solution would be to disable the “Reported Issues” functionality entirely until a team has enough bandwidth to make a minimum viable product.

All of a sudden my family found this button now too and I can’t get rid of the issues. +1 for the delete button. +2 for the disable button.

Agreed. This feature could be pretty useful if it was more than just a persistent list of things that cannot be deleted or marked as solved. Without a way to remove or disable the reports, it’s really just an annoyance.

Bump. I definitely agree with removing the feature entirely until a “resolved” or “delete” option is presented.

This would be a great feature. One that should have been included when the functionality for users to report Issues was shipped. Are there any configuration file switches we can use to simply turn off the entire Report Issues functionality until this is addressed?

It’s causing my users confusion, since they should be reporting Issues via Overseerr. It would behoove you to expose the Issues via API so that other tools that help Plex Users enjoy this amazing software in a more optimal fashion. Thank you!

I would also like a way to remove old “Reported Issues” from my server.

Hopefully this feature is added soon…

17 months in and still no fix?

I am also interested

I am also highly interested in a solution for this issue…

More than one year after testing this, I still have my “reported test problem” lurking in my list of reported problems. The media for which it was reported had been deleted a long time ago, but the reported problem is still sitting there, being a nasty nuisance.

Showing reported problem for deleted media is clearly a bug.

Is this feature a way of making fun of us?

Can I report this ‘feature’ as an issue - because it clearly doesn’t work. There’s no way to clear them or mark them as resolved - they just clog up space. Also, it isn’t made clear on submission that you’re reporting it to the server owner, not to Plex.

You cannot report issues from the new experience apps. It’s a weird way of solving this, but a clear signal that this is and will stay abandoned.

WTF is going on at Plex? Features requested like this one (that is not in any way complete) are still not fixed, instead now broken or missing in the new App you released, which in its self is a fricken train wreck.

Sorry for my being blunt, but honestly having been with you for nearly 11 years, it seems Plex has become stagnant in getting many year+ old underlying issues fixed, and then simply piling on new issues, like the new App.
