It’s amazing how a dozen features nobody requested get precedence over these long standing issues and top feature requests by hardcore users of this platform that have been using it and supporting it for years if not decade+

Not too late for a 2025 feature release of the PMS and Plex Web to fix “undeletable” issues, @McWanke …

This has been ongoing for TWO YEARS!
Its simple enough… Put some resources back onto FIXING things instead of developing more frills that no one wants! I, and many others, are tired of new feature announcements on releases that don’t include fixes for past “new” features that aren’t finished and/or don’t work properly.
Seriously, this was obviously a badly designed feature that wasn’t wanted, wasn’t needed , and wasn’t properly thought out.
Just give us a way to remove these damn things! or just remove the entire feature (and its “issues”) until you are ready to do it properly!
Plex is becoming a boated joke of half finished features and its core functions have been forgotten or corrupted with “improvements” that don’t work properly. i.e. matching of media is garbage since they moved it in-house to the plex agent. All resources seem to be devoted to glamour projects and flash and glitter.
Its become form over function. A fashion statement gui hiding a sad and rotting core that used to be great but is now changed beyond recognition.
So…. Update please? and lets not hear “we are working on it but we have higher priorities” that’s not an honest answer after TWO YEARS of waiting for a simple button to do a database query / remove record.
Posting to keep this alive… I’m new to Plex, but I might just switch off it whilst I can considering the addition of an ‘x’ hasn’t been prioritised and picked up by someone to implement in two years lol.
The least that you could do is disable the option entirely until this is picked up from the backlog in 10 years time to make it function like it’s supposed to. Are you still involved with this @McWanke ? If this is in the roadmap for this year then we should be expecting it soon no?
2 years later and issue reporting still stinks in Plex…. It’d be nice if development could start leaning back towards the home media server side of things instead of the streaming platform side of things… I’ve complained about issue reporting for a long time.
Unfortunately it takes forever to get nowhere with Plex… Things need to change and a good start would be Plex being more transparent - but we all know that’s never going to happen.
Forum’s like this are also no way to track issues…
What’s funny is I just noticed I can delete my comment on a reported issue. So why can’t the same functionality exist for the reported issue?
I can’t believe this isnt a feature yet. No wonder people are jumping ship so fast. Plex can’t even implement a delete button for Reported issues. It is 2025 now and this was posted 2 YEARS AGO!
I’ll go one step further and say give us a way to turn this feature off altogether. I already have issue reporting built into my request portal. That is how I want users to report media issues, not through plex itself. If you weren’t going to finish this feature it should have never been introduced. You’ve just given my users a convenient way to send me messages I will never see. At least send us a push notification through the plex app on the phone or an email.

It’s 2026 why do we still not have a close reported issues option. As a lifetime paid plex member this is kinda of a simple thing to implament and its making plex look lazy and foolish not having such a simple feature yeras later.
Unfortunately, it seems to be a “system” hard-wired into the server and there’s no API for it. Otherwise, I would have written a tool to take care of it. Only Plex devs would be able to fix it - but with all the other things in their pipeline plus the new player app product line - and with all the lay-offs during the last years - I bet this a dead horse.
They plan to do a new admin tool for Plex one day… they will not touch administration of that system (as the new tools work using API) before there are any endpoints to handle it.
I bet that in their new apps, there’s no way of creating such a report, too.
It would be a simple and fast fix for the devs to add a clear issues button. Again it makes it look like plex doesnt care about its actual users and are lazy to do a simple thing years after it has been asked for. If plex is to lazy to add a feature then just remove the report in general. In the end all its doing is adding lines of code that are useless and taking up disk space on their servers for the reports that are generated and CAN NOT BE DELETED. Small issues like this are driving people to alternatives like jellyfin.. And honestly i dont recommend plex any more and suggest jellyfin for small issues like this plex doesnt seem to care to fix. Just collecting users money is all they seem to care about.

Far too many companies use the “Move Fast and Break Things” motto, and it really needs to stop. This feels like one of those times.
Huh. This is still a thing. Thank god I don’t have a dozen users with no self control that think typing slurs in a “report” feature that can never be deleted or removed is the peak of hilarity.
