I have “curated” several playlists to include “Marvel Comics TV Shows” “DC Comics Movies” “80s Movies that influenced Stranger Things TV Series” “Directed by Quenton Tarantino”, “James Bond movies”, “War movies”, “Cohen brothers movies”, “Christmas movies”, etc etc. There is huge value in packaging certain movies/tv shows into playlists. It can actually add value to the movies if they are watched within a certain container or in a certain order. It creates a whole different experience as opposed to just searching for them individual. Also, many of the people I share my server with have never been exposed to certain movies that I know they would love based on their viewing preferences. If they had access to my playlists they would discover every kick ass western that Clint Eastwood was in instead of just the few main stream movies everyone has already seen.
The admin silence on this issue for years is just weird. At this point, I just hope they’ll hear my wallet if not my words, and have dropped my plex pass subscription.

So this is the number one page for “Plex Playlist share” …This is one of those features that should get more of a response… I was very glad to see the play list support… but if you can’t share it then it is of limited value to me. The first playlist I built was intended to share.
11 pages with plenty Plex Pass users. Definitely looks like the Plex administration is ignoring this one. It is a huge sign to me when I see pages like this and little to no interest by the app support team. I do hope this changes.
+100000. Yeah, it’d be nice if Plex would enact some 2017 features and instead of horrendously breaking the XBox One Interface, they could have deployed a useful feature that folks actually have wanted for almost 4 F*CKING YEARS.
Seriously coders, how difficult would it be to implement this into a database call, or even a remote pull of a goddamn text file? That’s not that frigging hard. When you’re 4 years behind on implementing features that your PAYING USERS have been asking after for YEARS, MAYYYYYYYBE you should look into it. Jus Sayin’. That’s kind of how you keep those paying customers.
C’mon guys after all the ■■■■ pulled with Plex in 2017, I’m THIS close to jumping ship for Kodi or ANYTHING else because of your lack of respect for user requests.
Well if you switch to Kodi you basically have a one device system with one person login. You can do that with Plex now and have recommendations available. 
Seriously, have you thought about having a Recommended Movies library?
I would love this feature so I could share certain home videos of family with friends without giving them access to my whole home video collection. Then I don’t have to have double files in double folders where one folder is shared.

Well not exactly since the only things that are shared from your server requires the admin to manually set this up. Examples would be libraries and channels.

And since we’re able to share libraries and channels… (The only things? What else is there???) …the question is why can’t we share playlists?
Even if users couldn’t create and share them, at least the admin should be able to do so easily. Please, let’s not nitpick at someone’s comment because we all knew what they meant.
Oh, don’t get me wrong. I think sharing playlists has been a huge oversight for a long time. I think it’s even worse with the renewed interest in music (plex labs: Plexamp). It’s one thing to not be able to use play lists for videos but having a nice music collection and not being able to share the music playlists is even worse.
My family and users rely on me to create holiday, recommended and other “playlists” so I feel the pain. I’ve found workarounds to get this accomplished but it’s not ideal by any means and having easy to use playlists or virtual libraries would be ideal.

I also really want this feature implemented. RIght now, I’m getting Christmas playlist together, and I can’t share it with anyone on Plex; so that means either burning CD’s or doubling tracks to make an ‘album.’ Would rather just have folks log into my Plex server and play. And it would be nice to have permissions set up for it as well.
