Adding to the 5th page of +1’s for this feature. I want to compile playlists for groups of films to highlight on the main page for my friends and family. Things like holiday films or other relevant ad-hoc collections that might help folks discover movies they might not otherwise find on their own. I have almost 900 movies in plex, so it’s easy for some really good ones to get lost in the mix.

Are you kidding? Every person that connects to my server had to be walked through every step of the process, even the “kids” twenty-something ones. With well over two TB of music and the fact that searching is slow with hand held devices sharing play lists would be advantageous. Especially with holiday music. To go even further would be great to have music or sound tracts playing on login that could always be stopped by the user. My two cents.
Would love to make custom playlist libraries that can be shared just like normal libraries.

I’ll throw in my request for this feature too. I’d love to be able to have a pool of playlists that my friends and I have created on my shared library. I recently switched from Emby to Plex and I’m surprised this wasn’t an option. I’m loving 90% of Plex after the switch from Emby.
+1 or some other way to recommend content to other users. Shared playlists could be one way to solve it. Would even be nice to be able to see how many stars user x gave media y as a way of sharing both recommendations and un-recommendations 
+1 as well. Being able to share, say, Doctor Who and it’s correct watching order (which is pretty difficult for a newbie of the series) feels vital
+1 … came here wondering why Managed Users didn’t see playlists created by the primary. Some shows (e.g. Firefly, Suzumiya Haruhi) have different play orders, and it seems a bit tedious to have to create the same playlist for every user.

I live my life in lists, and it’s very common for humans to do so, thus the word “listless”
I am currently lacking energy and enthusiasm about Plex, because I cannot share my lists with my users and friends.

+1 here as well, would be an nice feature.
I would share my music playlists with users so they can listen to an e.g. “rock playlist” or “hits”. Easier than having them all make their own of the generics
+1 as well. I can’t believer this has been open for over a year with seemingly no response. I just spent a decent portion of time putting Star Wars: The Clone Wars into a playlist in chronological order and I’d like my friends to be able to watch in that order…
