I host a lot of anime as well, and making filler-less playlists is something I do very often. Being able to share those with friends would be amazing. Not to mention being able to make ready-made marathon playlists for friends, seeing as I know my library better than they do =3

This isn’t the answer for all, but for some you can use a collection to share with your users. Select all your Zombie or Christmas movies and add them to a Zombie or Christmas collection. Collections act as an added filter for your movies that your friends or whomever you share your server with can use.

This falls short of playlists, because it doesn’t allow for ordering or a mix between tv and movies. The filters can only be applied to library it was created in.

As Xen0sys said, go to his link and click “Like” on the very first post on Page 1, that’s what the dev’s are looking at. The more likes, the better chance for us getting this feature in our lifetime.

This is an almost essential feature. This would help to exposed and “convert” additional users to the Plex ecosystem.

I am disappointed to find out that it doesn’t exist (so far) in such a great application.
