Hi I am a new user and just got the plexpass I just managed to sync a file from PC to google drive but would like to no is it possible to sync existing files stored in a cloud storage server.
I find it much easier to upload files to a host not using the Plex sync and prefer to use google drive web upload. Been thinking of getting amazon drive but don’t want to upload through sync.
I have seen post on the internet with user saying they have imported there amazon drive but nothing on how to do it.
Sorry if this has been asked many times I tried searching and reading the help but not sure of the terminology.
Thanks for the reply.
A number of us use rclone (http://rclone.org/). It is much more tolerant of upload issues. Amazon’s client will often skip, requiring multiple upload attempts. Rclone keeps at it until done.
But how do you get a file.mp4 stored in google drive into google drive sync folder?
And when is the PS4 app going to support Plex cload sync.
If you want to use the google drive sync, select it instead of Amazon after going to https://plex.tv/cloudsync/providers and configuring Google.
I have asked about the PS3/PS4 client. I do not know why but these were never implemented. I can only suggest you ask for them in the Feature Voting or PS3/PS4 forums.
I’ve checked into your request. The PS3/PS4 platform isn’t really a viable platform in terms of Plex’s expressed feature parity. In reviewing the release notes, there was never mention or hint of ever adding the ability to connect to Plex Cloud Sync for source playback material. I may be wrong but cannot find any.
