How exactly does the library radio work?

I have dealt with this similar issue and not just on Plex. With me I compete with myself for different styles of music based on my mood or the setting so I use multiple Libraries: holiday music, classical, instrumental, rock, country. These are generally broad strokes rather than fine grained genres but are based on divisions of music I will not likely want played together. It works pretty well. So you could separate your girlfriend’s music into a separate folder and make a second library for her.

Maybe you could make two music libraries. One library that has your tunes and one for hers. It works for me.

Genre radio would make so much sense. Please add that feature

Hi

Nice to know “How you’ve rated the track.” so it will be played on my Plex’s Radio! But I do must rate this in Plex Library and that’s I do not like so much. Or the ratings of LastFM are used for this, good idea, but not selectable at the moment. At soon?

My mp3-files are almost all rated by my self and for this I using MP3-Tag’s “user rating” of each single file. But this option is not for selectable or as a choice by import and update the files in Plex’s Library to define that I want to take the ratings of my files, as my ratings in Plex.

And I want to do more specify my radio. I use Language MP3-Tag’s, like TLDs (for example de = German, en = English, etc.) for filtering wanted files, like to filter a genre and few other options for setting filtering.

That with many specificity MP3-Tag’s I use every time for filtering in Windows Media Player, VLC Player, and other supported MP3-Tag Player too, for found wanted music. But this does not work at this moment in Plex correct. I see your plex team are worked now on that to make it possible in music library at first.

And I want to import other playlists like m3u-files and wpl-files into Plex as playlist. That the playlist must to customized bevor for using in Plex, I do know that. By using “Find and Replace” I can customize the playlist files in Notepad etc. for use in Plex.

If you need a demo mp3-File to know at self how to set mp3-Tag’s correct for this, you can create it at own by using MP3Tag-Software for Windows OS available on the Internet. The MP3Tag-Software uses all of the available mp3-Tags.

Hopeful you change it soon and make this possible for us. Then will be Plex great.

Sincerely

Daniel Rösgen
