How large should the Plex directory be?

Hi all,

In trying to understand why my Plex server freezes (requiring a restart to fix) I noticed that my directory sizes are as follows:

\Cache 792MB
\Plug-in Support\Caches 45MB
\Plug-in Support\Data 478MB
\Plug-in Support\Databases 1.55GB

All others are <50MB, Is this normal?

Scan
Empty Trash <—if you have cans - look in them.
Clean Bundles
Optimize Database

I think that makes you as good - and small - as you can be.

Your Agent/Plugin Cache can be hosed down (to be recreated - cleaner perhaps).
Clear them out - periodically:

cheers - will give that a shot.

…what are cans?

If you’ve never seen an Orange Trash can.
Don’t worry about it.

thanks - the trash/clean/optimise made no difference.

Funny that they put optimise before clean in their menu (so the menu is out of sequence)

Now you’re using ‘User Logic’
Quit it.

Dumping the agent caches and plugin caches is a good idea - and why isn’t that in scheduled maintenance? User Logic Again - I’ll Quit It.

There are more files in there than grains of sand on every beach in Florida - so it may take a while - and why you might want to do that - periodically.
(and since Plex has to be down when that happens - probably why it’s not in scheduled maintenance - score one for User Logic)

Since there are no Giant Orange Warning Labels on the Agent Dump Support Pages - and since I don’t know the first thing about a Q-Nap - we’ll assume it’s pretty straight forward. I will, at least. And hope you don’t blow up something important…lol
