I usually have 1080p copies for my 4K media, but when I browse into the media page, sometimes it’s default to the 4K version of it, sometimes it’s 1080p. Is there a pattern here? I specifically have my home library include the 4K versions so I always want to play 4K if possible.
Depends on which file Plex finds first.
If you want it to always use the 1080p file transcoding then always put the 1080p file there first and scan your library. Then add the 4K files and scan again.
Sucks, but works.
