How to add plugins?

Player Version#: Version 3.77.4

How are Plugins added? (Are plugins the same as “Channels”)?

Says “The Plugin Directory is accessible from the Plex Web App by selecting Plugins from the left sidebar and then the Install Plugins button.”

Left Nav > ONLINE CONTENT > Plugins

No such button that I can find. No menu.

Tried in Edge and Chrome on the Server and on another PC.

I believe channels are the same as plugins.

Although this is being removed for now you can still install manually.

I use the hdhr viewer plugin myself.

That wasn’t in the “what’s new” that I read when updating the server earlier today. Part of the software update cycle should be refreshing documentation

Because it hasn’t been removed from the server software as of yet. It’s being phased out of clients first and eventually it will be removed from the server software.

The Plugin directory and ability to install, restart, and reset plugins has been removed.

…from Plex Web (a client).

I believe you can still install them manually on your server and they will show up in clients that still have plug-in support.

Well I’ve just installed Plex after years of using Kodi, well given that there is no plugins possibilites I think I will immediately return to Kodi and install… Plex addons
