I recently updated my Plex server to the latest for my NAS (Terramaster). I ended up needing to redo my library as a result. Not a big deal, pretty much everything pulled as expected. However, the episodes that do not have a screen capture from TVDB (my primary metadata source for TV) are showing either the season poster or nothing at all for their screen capture. In the past, these episodes would just pull a random screen grab from the video and use that.
I know I can go in and manually change episodes, but some of my shows do not have many images and I don’t want to go through the trouble of manually updating all of them. I’m not particularly picky about what image shows for most things, I just want them to look different and not all the same. Is there a setting somewhere I’m missing that allows Plex to automatically pull an image from the file if it can’t find one at the primary source? If so, where? I’ve looked and if it exists, I’m clearly missing it. It always just worked previously, so I don’t recall having to tweak anything in the past.
Can anyone help me?
EDIT: Ended up having to reinstall everything and redo my library, as I found other things weren’t working after my update.
