How to change Plex Originally Available date for Home Movies

Plex Media Server 1.42.1.10060
I have hundreds of home videos and I have used Attribute Changer to make sure each and every one of them has the correct “Year”, “Date Created”, and “Date Modified”. All of these are exactly the same information in Windows properties.

However, in Plex, the “Originally Available” field on nearly all of the videos is incorrect. I think it is listing the date the files were first added to the Plex folder.

I have tried to make Plex “Scan Library Files”, “Refresh All Metadata”, and “Analyze” all of the videos. Doing these things only resulted in more problems and did not fix anything. I had to go through and analyze each individual file again to fix those issues, but none of this fixed the “Originally Available” date issue.

When sorting the Home Videos, I want them to be sorted by the date they were created. The options in Plex for sorting are “Year”, “Release Date”, “Date Added”, and “Date Viewed”. None of these sort correctly based on the proper dates in the properties of the files.

A few years ago I had gone through and changed the “Originally Available” date on all of my videos back then. Then I got a new computer and had to download Plex on the new computer. The new Plex did not remember any of my changes. I don’t want to do that again. I just want Plex to read the correct dates from the videos and use that date.

Is there a way to make Plex grab the “Date Created” from the video file and use that to populate the Plex “Originally Available” field?
