Unlike other players, the Plex iPad app has strange subtitle styling. And I am having trouble finding an option in the app to customize the subtitle appearance.
I’m using text subtitles, which I would like to show in classic yellow foreground, transparent background style. Currently, the subtitles are showing up on iPad in a gray semi-transparent box that I don’t need.
The iOS client doesn’t have an option to customize the appearance of your subtitles. The only exceptions are the options to override formatting information inside your subtitle files (making them appear like all your unformatted subtitles) and to adjust the vertical position of the subtitles.
